3. A surround sound capable Receiver (Step up consideration, a receiver that also features video switching and/or both video switching and video upscaling).
4. Loudspeakers (usually five satellite speakers and a subwoofer)
5. All the cables and connectors
6. A surge protector (a good way of centralizing and protection your equipment - step up consideration: power management device with or without battery backup).

Are you buying Vizio or Samsung?
Are you buying Wal-mart surround sound or Definitive Technology?
Why don’t you just look into the products yourself and see what you need?
It could cost anywhere from $1000 (dirt cheap products) to $5000 dollars for a good system if you play your cards right.
