For audio processing, Onkyo TX-SR608 is capable of handling two new surround-sound technologies, the Audyssey DSX and the Dolby Pro Logix IIz. With these advanced audio technologies, there are exciting new ways to set your speakers in order to achieve more dramatic and immersing listening experience. Audyssey DSX lets you incorporate “front wide” speakers replacing the normal surround back speakers, thus expanding the soundstage. Dolby Pro Logic IIz delivers “front height” channels to carry ambient, non-directional audio creating a new vertical dimension in your games and movies.
