Installing a home theater system can really improve your home entertainment experience.  Imagine having move theater quality sound in the luxury of your living room.  Regular TV speakers cannot produce the kind of sound you need to have a real theater experience.  For that you actually need to speculate in a home theater spokesman system.  When installing a home theater spokesperson system you'll have many different options.

The first decision you'll need to make is how much money you are willing to spend.  These systems can cost anywhere from a few hundred bucks to several thousand.  It'll take some research to find the best quality elements that will not cost a fortune.  Chances are you already own some of the parts you will need to line up your new home theater.  Most people already have a TV, DVD player, and receiver.

When looking out for home theater speaker systems there are some terms that it helps to be familiar with.  5.1 and 7.1 surround sound are 2 terms you see regularly.  The 1st number refers to the number of outputs the system has while the second refers back to the number of subwoofer channels.  A 5.1 system will have one center spokesperson, 2 front speakers ( left and right ), two rear / side speakers ( left and right ), and one subwoofer.  A 7.1 system will have two front speakers, 2 side speakers, 2 rear speakers, and one subwoofer.

Watts refers back to the power of the speakers while decibels will measure the loudness.  The timbre refers back to the tonal quality of the sound.  Speakers purchased from different makers may have different timbres which will be conspicuous as the sound moves from spokesman to speaker.  If you purchase elements from different brands be certain all of them have the same timbre.  The subwoofer is the driver that produces the lowest sound while the tweeter is the speaker driver that produces the highest sound.  The midrange is the driver that produces the sounds at the middle of the audio range.
