Home Theater Stuff Of Dan Claude

I want to get a new Home Theater system and projecter soon and i was wondering what some good options might be i know absolutely nothing about this stuff. Can someone please show me good projectors and speakers that i can buy for less than 3000 dollars from actual stores and not online retailers like Newegg, Amazon, or Ebay. Places like bestbuy.com are fine.
In terms of speakers i was thinking something from bose because my wife is set on getting some speakers from them but i just wanted to know if they were good or not.

you probably want surround sound. if not then two speakers (Stereo) are fine. If you wanted to go down the 'surround sound' route, then a fairly basic setup is 4.1 (4 surround speakers, and 1 woofer). however you can have however many speakers you want. there is a bose system with 10, on nextag (a comparison website) so check that out, and click on the cheapest store. Surround sound just makes your movies nicer to listen to, and make it sound like you're actually in the movie. if you have a train coming from the back, then the speakers will make it sound exactly like that!.

I don't know much about projecters, but i know that epson are quite a good make, because they're cheap, and user friendly.
